Kristen Stewart seems to be having a ball as she breaks away from her teenage Twilight image in the upcoming film adaptation of Jack Kerouac's 1951 literary classic, On The Road.
In the just-released trailer, Stewart strips off with two hot guys (TRON: Legacy's Garrett Hedlund and Control's Sam Riley) in the front seat of a car, and gets up to all kinds of debaucherous mischief on a US road trip that's quite the trip indeed.
Directed by Walter Salles (The Motorcycle Diaries), On The Road follows free-loving Dean Moriarty (Hedlund) and Sal Paradise (Riley) on their thrill-seeking, jazz-filled journey across America. Stewart plays Marylou, Dean's adventurous young wife.
It's not the first adult role for Kristen, who pashed Dakota Fanning in Joan Jett-Cherie Currie biopic The Runaways, and played a teen prostitute in Welcome to the Rileys.
Look out for Amy Adams, Kirsten Dunst, Mad Men's Elisabeth Moss, Iron Man's Terrence Howard and the Viggo Mortensen in the supporting cast.
On The Road is set for release October 4. We'll see Kristen before then as the new-and-improved tough-chick heroine in Snow White and the Huntsman, then, of course, in November's supposedly final Twilight film, Breaking Dawn Part 2.
