And now for something truly epic...
Movie mastermind Ridley Scott has finally released a full trailer for the most anticipated sci-fi movie of the year, a "prequel of sorts" to his 1979 classic Alien, Prometheus. Watch the trailer above ... in a dark room with the sound turned up, preferably.
Sci-fi fans are calling it "intense, shiny [and] scary" (Den of Geek), and everyone's trying to figure out just exactly what is going on in the terrifying new footage, which was released at California's WonderCon sci-fi convention on the weekend.
What we do know is that the film tells the story of "a team of explorers [who] discover a clue to the origins of mankind on earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race".
We also know it's in 2085, and the space crew searching for advanced alien life includes Charlize Theron, Michael Fassbender, the original Girl with the Dragon Tattoo Noomi Rapace and Idris Elba.
Scott has already indicated he wants to do a sequel. "It evolved into another universe," he told WonderCon fans. "If we're lucky there'll be a second part. It does leave you with some nice open questions."
Prometheus is out June 7.
