Lady Gaga in Machete Kills: Will her acting debut be a disappointment?
Lady Gaga as La Chameleon in the upcoming Machete Kills

Lady Gaga fans are aflutter with the announcement she'll be making her film debut in the upcoming Machete Kills but just how much acting will Mumma monster be doing?

Gaga has her own poster for the flick, but it appears her name is pretty far down the movie's list of credits, suggesting the singer will only have a very minor role to play.

A report on Starpulse.com claims Gaga will be "doing very little actual acting", which of course will disappoint fans who expect her to make a big bang on the big screen.

The site suggests that Gaga's involvement in the film — the second instalment in the Machete series — is an effort by director Robert Rodriquez to get "as many big names attached to the film as possible" so it's "assured a good return at the box office."

It's an assertion that could hold true, given the singer's incredible cult following.

All we know about Gaga's role in the film so far is that she'll be playing a gun-wielding, lingerie-clad chick called "La Chameleon" — and that's just what we can gauge from the promotional poster.

The singer joins an all-star female cast for the film, including Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez and TV's highest paid actress Sofia Vergara.
