Lionsgate has released its first teaser for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire in the form of "motion poster" (literally a poster that moves!).

The animated trailer shows us lead character Katniss Everdeen's (Jennifer Lawrence) mockingjay pin being set on fire, followed by the film’s tagline (watch and see, it's pretty cool).

Catching Fire will be the second film adaptation of The Hunger Games trilogy, written by Suzanne Collins.

The first hit blockbuster told the story of Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) participating in a televised fight-to-the-death within a dystopian post-apocalyptic future.

Making nearly $700 million at the global box office, the film was a hit with critics, holding an 85 percent "Certified Fresh" rating on review aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes.

Judging by the film’s success and the fan fervour, this sequel is looking to be quite the hit.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is due for release in November, 2013. Vote 'want to see' on MovieBuzz now!
